Cup of Coffee: Nunez homers twice to lead Salem comeback; Arias goes deep again
5/1 Cup of Coffee: While the big club was off, Boston's affiliates went 3-2 on a busy Thursday. Behind home runs from Matt Thaiss, Vinny Capra, and Braiden Ward, Worcester swept its doubleheader against Rochester. Franklin Arias, Miguel Bleis, and Brooks Brannon all went deep in Portland's walk-off loss to Somerset. Justin Gonzales and Yoeilin Cespedes stayed hot at the plate in Greenville's loss to Hub City. Starlyn Nunez (pictured) starred in Salem's come-from-behind victory over Wilson.

Alec Gamboa picked up his first win of the season, as he allowed two earned runs on four hits (including one home run), one walk, and six strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings. He threw 73 pitches (51 strikes) and generated 10 whiffs. Jack Anderson followed out of the bullpen and gave up an additional run (on another homer) in 1 1/3 innings but held on to notch the save.
