9/21 Cup of Coffee: With the 2021 Florida Complex League officially in the books, the Dominican Summer League is the only thing we've got left on to talk about on Tuesday mornings for a while. Fortunately, there's plenty of excitement there. Yesterday's games featured a grand slam, a talented catching prospect going off, and some very solid pitching performances from both the starters and the relievers.
9/14 Cup of Coffee: Despite most affiliate teams having the day off, there were five games today. Such is life during this summer of rain. The FCL Red Sox played two. They got some excellent pitching in the first game from a trio of pitchers, while a certain 2021 top draft pick turned on the offense in game two. The DSL Red Sox Red team also swept a pair thanks to some solid offense, while the Blue team won their only game behind a Jean Carlos Reyes gem, completing the affiliate sweep.

9/7 Cup of Coffee: Another day, another doubleheader. This time, it was the FCL Red Sox playing two, while the Dominican Summer squads had a game apiece. Most of the starting pitchers were effective, but shaky bullpens proved costly. Offenses were inconsistent with the lone home run out of any Red Sox affiliate hitter coming off the bat of Kelvin Diaz in the final inning for the DSL Red Sox Red, although the FCL squad put together five doubles in their first game.
