First Round (#12 overall)
Trey Yesavage, RHP, East Carolina Polished college pitcher with a mid-to-high 90s fastball, a nice four-pitch mix, and above-average control. Rumblings are that he might not fall to #12.
Cam Caminiti, LHP, Saguaro (AZ) – High ceiling prep arm with four potential major league pitches and a fastball that already touches 98 mph. Committed to LSU.
Vance Honeycutt, OF, North Carolina – Elite athlete and potential five tool player, but his hit tool is his biggest question mark.
James Tibbs, OF, Florida State – Plus hit tool, average to above-average power. Hit .342/.465/.697/1.162 in three seasons with FSU and has excelled with a wood bat. Likely will lend up in left field, average arm, below-average runner.
William Schmidt, RHP, Catholic (LA) – Prep arm with a big fastball, a plus plus curveball, clean mechanics, and solid control. Committed to LSU.
Carson Benge, OF, Oklahoma St. – Five potential average or better tools, none stick out as plus at this stage except maybe his arm strength. Likely ends up in right field.
Ryan Sloan, RHP, York (IL) – Polished prep righty committed to Wake Forest. Solid fastball with a slider and changeup that have MLB potential. Solid control.
Cam Smith, 3B, Florida State – Won the top pro prospect award for the Cape League in 2023. Draft Eligible sophomore. Toolsy player hit .331/.420/.594/1.014 in two seasons with FSU.
