Cup of Coffee: Cespedes doubles twice, Asencio collects three hits in FCL
5/21 Cup of Coffee: As usual for a Monday, the FCL Sox were the only team on the schedule. After falling into a very 4-0 deficit, the Sox were able to mount a comeback to move to 7-5 on the year.

Monday's contest got off to a fast start, with the two teams combining for seven first-inning runs. Yoeilin Cespedes (pictured) and Yosander Asencio were at the center of the Sox rally. Cespedes ripped an RBI double to get the Sox on the board, his first of two doubles on the day. He then came home on the first of three hits off the bat of Asencio, who would drive in three runs overall. Andruw Musset and Karim Ayubi had two hits apiece in the winning effort.
It was a rough start for Nicolas De La Cruz, who walked five of the eight batters he faced and failed to escape the first inning. He surrendered three unearned runs, two of which came on free passes with the bases loaded. Deybi Salcedo got the win, giving up two runs on four hits in 2 1/3. Ovis Portes allowed just one hit in four scoreless innings to get the save, striking out three and walking two.

Player of the Day: It has been a solid stateside debut for Yosander Asencio after two solid campaigns in the Dominican. The 19-year-old is 7 for 25 with a double, triple, and five walks, good for a .280/.400/.400 slash line. Originally signed as a shortstop, he has played almost exclusively in the outfield as a professional.
