Every member of the Sox lineup had at least one hit in the rare FCL night game. The offensive outburst was highlighted by a monster performance by Johanfran Garcia. The 18-year-old blasted a solo home run in the third inning and a two-run shot in the sixth on his way to a 3-for-4, four-RBI evening. Natanael Yuten was a catalyst out of the leadoff spot, going 2 for 3 with two walks, a stolen base, and two runs scored. Yordanny Monegro turned in another strong start, allowing one run on three hits in five innings. He struck out six, walked two, and is sporting a 1.20 ERA. Royman Blanco got credit for the win in relief.

Franklin Jimenez had another pair of hits in the loss for Team Blue, bringing him to 12 for 34 on the season. Yoeilin Cespedes ripped his fifth double in 10 games. Starter Yeferson Vargas allowed one run on three hits in three innings, and reliever Obed Balderas took the loss.

DSL Red Sox Red @ DSL Rockies, suspended
The rain came through only four batters into the game, leading to the suspension. A walk and two singles had the bases loaded with one out. The teams are not scheduled to play again, so if the game is made up it will likely need to be on an off day.

Player of the Day: Johanfran Garcia led the FCL Sox charge with his second straight three-hit game. Garcia, brother of Salem infielder Jhostynxon Garcia, blasted two home runs to give him six extra-base hits in nine games. He originally signed out of Venezuela in January 2022 to an $850,000 bonus and is currently the 33rd-ranked player in the system.
