Minor Notes: Rogers earns second Player of the Week honor
Salem had the best week out of the four clubs this past week, sporting a 4-2 record. Portland landed at 3-3, while Greenville and Worcester each went 2-4. A 2022 draft pick continued his great season, earned a second Player of the Week honor.

Sox acquire Pablo Reyes
The Red Sox made a deal with Oakland to bring on Pablo Reyes to help out with their middle infield situation. Cash considerations was the return back to the A's. Reyes is a 29-year old who can play second base and shortstop, and has done a very nice job so far filling in at the big league level. He is 5 for 10 a double and a walk so far, while also flashing some leather at short. He has appeared in the big leagues in four other seasons for the Pirates and Brewers. He is one game shy of 800 in his minor league career, slashing .274/.350/.419 across 11 seasons of minor league ball.
Dalbec optioned to Worcester
With the acquisition of Reyes, the Red Sox sent Bobby Dalbec back down to Worcester. He wasn't seeing much time at the big league level and the Sox needed to sure-up their infield defense. According to Peter Gammons, the Sox are actively shopping Dalbec around, as the team just doesn't really have a fit for him right. Gammons said that a pair of National League executives think Dalbec can still be an everyday player at the big league level.
Sox activate Joely Rodriguez, DFA Ryan Brasier
Braiser has been designated for assignment after spending the past six seasons with the Red Sox. During his first season with the team, Brasier was a huge part of the Red Sox' World Series-winning bullpen, posting a 1.60 ERA and a 0.77 WHIP in 33 2/3 innings during that regular season. He was just as good in the playoffs, tossing 2 1/3 scoreless innings against the Yankees in the ALDS, then another 4 2/3 scoreless frames against Houston in the ALCS. He is replaced with Rodriguez, who is back from a rehab stint. He has had five seasons of experience at the MLB level, seeing time with the Rangers, Phillies, Mets, and Yankees. He looked pretty good in his rehab games, as our own Ian Cundall got a closer look at him in Portland.

Cundall also was in attendance for Ceddanne Rafaela's insane six-stolen base performance in Portland. In addition to all the running, Cundall was encouraged by how many pitches Rafaela saw during his at-bats.
Portland catcher Stephen Scott just missed out on a Player of the Week honor, as he hit .400 with a pair of home runs and a double this past week. Juan Chacon also had a monster week at the plate, going 10 for 19 with two doubles and a 1.203 OPS.
On the bump, right-hander Jake Faria had himself a great week, appearing twice and tossing 6 2/3 shutout innings. Jose Ramirez was fantastic as well in his start, allowing just a run in six innings.

Players of the Week
Ryan Fitzgerald, UTL, Worcester Red Sox

Fitzgerald grabs his first Player of the Week honor of the season after playing all six games this past week. He appeared at three different positions this past week, something he has grown accustomed to. The left-handed hitter saw action in left field, at third base, and at first base over the past six games. Although Worcester went just 2-4 in this stretch, Fitzgerald led their offense to nearly five runs per game.
The 28-year old has been very consistent at the plate this season, posting an .859 OPS in the month of April, and has gotten even better in May the the tune of a 1.172 OPS. He picked up multiple hits in four of the six games, the first time he has done that this season over any six-game stretch.
Dalton Rogers, LHP, Salem Red Sox
1 G, 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 5 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 6 K
Rogers earned his second Player of the Week award, as he also received the honor two weeks ago. The left-hander has done nothing but impress since being drafted last year in the third round, as his first full season of professional ball is off to a tremendous start. He has made five starts and thrown 17 2/3 innings this year with a 2.55 ERA, 31 strikeouts, 11 walks, and a 1.08 WHIP.
He has been great against both lefties and righties as well, with both sides hitting .125 against him. Rogers has also yet to give up an earned run on the road this season in nine frames, allowing just two hits away from Salem.
