Cup of Coffee: Hernandez goes yard twice as rain shortens Worcester's final series opener
9/27 Cup of Coffee: Worcester began its last series of play, as a three-game set against Rochester that will complete the 2022 minor league season. The Red Sox scored five in the fourth and after the skies opened up, the final four innings of the contest were scrapped and the game was declared final.

The two squads traded a run each in the second inning, with the home side's run coming on a Ronaldo Hernandez (pictured) solo home run, one of two on the day, as he would drill a two-run shot in the fifth, as well. Jaylin Davis also had a two-run homer, which was his seventh of the year. The team's final run came via a double from Cole Kottam. Victor Santos pitched all five innings, surrendering four runs on one hit. He would strike out five hitters and walk one.

Player of the Day: A two-homer day is always a big one. Ronaldo Hernandez went yard twice on Monday against Rochester, notching his 15th and 16th home runs of 2022, hitting from the designated hitter spot. The catcher is up to .259/.296/.443 slash line in 435 plate appearances in 2022 and with no options remaining, will have an interesting offseason, as a long-term decision on his future must be made.
