Cup of Coffee: Lakins stays unbeaten, Tobias keys Sea Dog rally
5/10 Cup of Coffee: Pawtucket was held to just three hits, but they made them count, as a rehabbing Brock Holt helped the Sox out. The Sea Dogs clawed their way back with a late rally, capped by a clutch hit by Josh Tobias. Salem cruised to a win on the back of another solid outing from Travis Lakins (pictured).

Despite being held to three hits all night, two of those hits for Pawtucket were two-run home runs courtesy of Brock Holt and Matt Dominguez to give the Sox all the offense they would need. Brian Johnson somehow worked his way around 10 hits and two walks to earn the win in seven innings of work. Johnson was able to bear down when it mattered, keeping Scranton 3 for 11 with runners in scoring position.

Travis Lakins turned in his longest start of the year and improved to 5-0 with 6 2/3 innings of solid work. The 22-year-old righty gave up just one run on two hits and struck out eight. He did struggle with command a bit, giving up a season-high four walks, but was able to work his way out of danger. Chad De La Guerra went 2 for 4 with a pair of RBI. Trenton Kemp drove in a pair with a two-run triple.

Player of the Night: A model of consistency so far this season, Travis Lakins continued his hot start to the 2017 campaign. Lakins has been held to a pitch count of 85-90 pitches, and that held true again on Tuesday with a 90-pitch effort. Lakins sits in the top 10 in both ERA (2.61) and WHIP (1.18) in the Carolina League in 31 1/3 innings pitched.
