Cup of Coffee: Lakins, Anderson deal, Swihart homers
4/29 Cup of Coffee: Good starting pitching was a theme for Sox affiliates, as Kyle Kendrick, Travis Lakins (pictured), and Shaun Anderson each threw well. Blake Swihart went 2 for 4 with a home run for the PawSox. Run-scoring triples happened throughout the system as well.

Janzten Witte and Blake Swihart drove in seven of Pawtucket's 10 runs, as Witte went 2 for 4 with a three-run triple, and Swihart homered and singled. Sam Travis was 2 for 4 as well, and Brock Holt went 1 for 3 with a walk in a rehab game. Kyle Kendrick was fantastic, tossing seven shutout frames while allowing just a hit and two walks. Kyle Martin closed it out with a scoreless ninth.

Eight of nine Sea Dogs hitters collected a hit, with the exception being Rafael Devers. Aneury Tavarez had another productive night, going 1 for 3 with two walks. Danny Mars tripled, Tzu-Wei Lin homered, and Jordan Procyshen and Cole Sturgeon each went 2 for 4. Ty Buttrey and Austin Maddox were bright spots on a rough night for the staff, each tossing scoreless frames.

Travis Lakins turned in a nice outing with seven strikeouts in five innings. He allowed just a run on two walks and four hits. Josh Tobias had a great night, going 3 for 4 with a double. Chad De La Guerra had a two-run triple, Josh Ockimey walked and hit a sacrifice fly, and Michael Chavis reached three times with a single and two walks.
-----
Shaun Anderson was brilliant again on the mound, allowing just one run in six innings. He did not walk a batter and lowered his ERA to 0.98. The offense was held in check, with Ryan Scott and Lorenzo Cedrola each collecting a pair of singles.

Player of the Night: Kyle Kendrick's former teammate in Philadelphia, Ryan Howard, singled off him for Gwinnett's lone base knock of the night. Kendrick was great for seven innings and now owns an impressive 20:5 strikeout-to-walk ratio in his 27 innings so far this year.
