Fall/Winter Roundup: Castillo and Puerto Rico capture Caribbean Series title

Caribbean Series
Puerto Rico captured its first Caribbean Series title in 17 years after beating Mexico 1-0 in 10 innings in the deciding game. Rusney Castillo went 0 for 4 in the final game, and finished 4 for 23 overall in the series. His best game game against the Dominican Republic last Saturday when he went 2 for 5 with a two-run home run.
Australian Baseball League
The Brisbane Bandits won their second straight ABL title, beating Daniel McGrath and the Melbourne Aces 2-0 in the best-of-three series. McGrath pitched to one batter in the final game, coming in with two outs and runners on second and third to record a big strikeout to keep the deficit at two.
