Fall/Winter League Roundup: Champions crowned as play concludes

Venezuelan Professional Baseball League

Sandy Leon went 2 for 10 with a run scored and an RBI in the last three games of the championship series. His Aragua squad beat Magallanes four games to two.

Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League (Puerto Rico)

Aneury Tavarez went 0 for 2 in his lone appearance of the week for Santurce, who ended up winning the best of six championship round, four games to two. Jeremy Rivera made an appearance as a pinch runner in the final game of the series for Mayaguez.

The Caribbean Series (which pits the champion of each of the Caribbean Leagues against each other) will begin play on Tuesday, with Leon playing for the Venezuelan squad and Henry Ramos on the roster for the Puerto Rican team.
