Winter League Roundup: December 24-30
The Dominican Winter League playoffs began as the Mexican Pacific League and the Venezuelan Winter League Regular Seasons came to a close.
Dominican Winter League
The Dominican Winter League's round-robin playoffs began this week as two Red Sox prospects saw action in the four team tussle.
Mauro Gomez (pictured) opened the playoffs in a big way with a 2 for 5 evening that included a solo home run against Aguilas. On Friday, Gomez was 1 for 5 with a home run, two RBI and a run scored against Estrellas. In his final two games of the week, Gomez was 1-6. Escogido is currently 2-2.

Tony Pena Jr. made two appearances this week. On Thursday against Escogido, Pena tossed 3 innings, allowing two runs on four hits. In a short appearance on Saturday against Estrellas, Pena walked the only batter he faced.
Roberto Clemente (Puerto Rico) Baseball League
Anthony Carter, tossed 3 innings across two outings of relief against Carolina. On Friday, Carter picked up the victory for 2 scoreless innings of work.
Jose De La Torre hurled 3 1/3 scoreless innings of relief, allowing three hits and striking out three.
Jeremy Kehrt received the start on Saturday against Manati, picking up the victory for his 5 innings of work. Kehrt allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five.
Jason Urquidez tossed 3 1/3 innings of relief across three outings. On Sunday against Ponce, Urquidez received the loss by allowing two runs on three hits and a walk in 1 2/3 innings.
Mexican Pacific League
Marco Duarte received the start on Wednesday against Hermosillo. Duarte tossed 5 2/3 innings, allowing one run on four hits and two walks while striking out four.

Oscar Villarreal hurled 4 1/3 innings of relief, allowing one run on six hits and two walks over three outings.
Australian Baseball League
Boss Moanaroa went 0 for 9 with an RBI in three games this week.
Panama Professional League
Will Latimer tossed 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief across two outings, allowing two walks.
Anthony Amaya collected two hits this week without the benefit of an RBI.
Robert Duncan was 1 for 1 in his lone action of the week.
