Red Sox claim Jordan Parraz from Royals
WEEI.com's Alex Speier has reported that the Red Sox claimed outfielder Jordan Parraz off waivers from Kansas City. Houston's third round pick in the 2004 draft, Parraz has spent the last two seasons in the Royal's organization, batting .266 with an OPS of .760 and 11 home runs in 123 games for Triple-A Omaha. The 26-year-old has posted a .289 batting average and an .814 OPS in 634 minor league games. With the addition of Parraz, Boston's 40-man roster is now full.
