Red Sox acquire Dlugach from Tigers
The Red Sox have acquired Brent Dlugach from the Detroit Tigers for a player to be named later or cash considerations.
The 27-year-old infielder spent all of last season with Toledo, Detroit's Triple-A affiliate. He posted a .258/.303/.360 slash line for the Mud Hens with 6 home runs and 41 RBI. He was, however, third in the International League with 149 strikeouts. Originally drafted in the sixth round by Detroit in 2004, Dlugach has a career line of .267/.312/.383.
