Scorpions edge Saguaros 16-15 in slugfest


11/9 Cup of Coffee: Trailing 10-9 going into the 9th inning, the Scottsdale Scorpions scored 7 times and the barely held off the Peoria Saguaros in the bottom of the 9th to score a 16-15 victory on Saturday. TJ Large was charged with a blown save despite pitching 2.1 innings of 1 hit scoreless ball. He did not walk a batter and had 4 strikeouts. Mark Wagner entered the game as a defensive replacement in the bottom of the 9th.


In Hawaii, West Oahu blasted North Shore 13-3. Dustin Richardson went 2.1 innings and did not allow a run on 4 hits. He did not walk a hitter while recording 4 strikeouts. He lowered his ERA to 2.12. Ryan Kalish went 1 for 4 with a RBI and is hitting .290. Yamaico Navarro went 1 for 3 with a base on balls. His batting average now stands at .215.
