JetHawks Pitcher Bajoczky retires
According to Lancaster JetHawks broadcaster Jeff Lasky, pitcher Tony Bajoczky has retired from baseball to attend law school. Bajoczky, who was drafted by the Red Sox in the 34th round of the 2007 Draft out of Duke University, had held a spot in the Lancaster rotation for most of the season, going 5-4 with a 4.73 ERA in 21 appearances, 19 of which were starts. In 2007, after eight impressive appearances in the Gulf Coast League, in which he went 4-2 with a 1.91 ERA and made six starts, he was promoted to Lowell, where he made four appearances, including one start, and even made a spot start at Double-A Portland.No announcement has been made of a roster move to fill the spot in Lancaster vacated by Bajoczky. Lancaster also has a roster space availabe from the recent promotion of Josh Reddick to Portland, leaving two open roster spots in total.
