Bailey continues to swing hot bat for PawSox
5/23 Cup of Coffee: Pawtucket defeated Rochester 11-3 on Thursday. Michael Tejera (3-3) threw 5 innings allowing 0 runs on 3 hits and 3 BB. He had 2 Ks. Hunter Jones went 2 innings giving up 1 run on 1 hit. He had a K. Miguel Asencio pitchedan inning and gave up 2 runs on a hit and a BB. He had 1 K. Chris Smith pitched a scoreless 9th giving up 1 hit. He had a K. Jeff Bailey went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, 3 runs scored and 5 RBI. Joe Thurston went 2 for 5 with 4 RBI. Chris Carter went 3 for 3 with a home run and 4 runs scored. Gil Velazquez went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored and a RBI.
New Hampshire downed Portland 7-3. Dustin Richardson (3-4) went 5 innings giving up 4 runs on 6 hits and 2 BB. He had 5 Ks. Kyle Jackson threw 3 innings and gave up 3 runs on 5 hits. He had 2 Ks. John Otness went 1 for 3 with 1 run scored.
Lancaster doubled Stockton 6-3. Travis Beazley went 4 innings allowing 2 runs on 4 hits and 2 BB. He had 3 Ks. Richie Lentz threw 2 scoreless innings giving up 1 hit and a BB. He had 5 Ks. Cody McAllister (1-0) got the win going an inning giving up 1 run on 1 hit and 2 BB. TJ Large threw 2 scoreless, hitless frames. He gave up a BB and had 1 K. Jorge Jimenez went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored and a RBI. Josh Reddick went 3 for 4 with a run scored and 2 RBI. Jon Still went 1 for 3 with a home run.
Charleston defeated Greenville 5-2. Felix Doubront (5-2) went 6 innings giving up 1 run on 5 hits. He had 5 Ks. Ryne Lawson threw 2 innings allowing 2 runs on 3 hits. He had 2 Ks. Felix Ventura pitched the final inning and gave up 2 runs on 2 hits and 2 BB. The offence produced only 4 hits with no one have multiple hits.
