Player of the Week, 4/14-20: Mike Jones
Greenville DH Mike Jones had a torrid week at the plate, posting a .567/.618/.800 (1.418 OPS) line with one homer and four doubles, batting in eight runs and scoring nine in 30 ABs, in recognition of which he was voted SoxProspects.com Player of the Week for April 14-20. For the season Jones is an eye-popping .409/.473/.591 (1.064 OPS) in 66 ABs over 17 games, with two HR, four doubles and three triples, while batting in 13 runs. He was also named South Atlantic League Player of the Week for the same period. Jones, 22, was a 25th round pick in 2004.
