Pitcher of the Week, April 7-13: Daniel Haigwood
In making one start and one relief appearance, Portland LHP Daniel Haigwood held opposing batters to three hits while striking out ten over seven scoreless innings to earn himself SoxProspects.com Pitcher of the Week honors for April 7-13 as voted on by the community. Haigwood, 24, was aquired from Texas in Aprill of 2007 for RHP Scott Shoemaker. After pitching in 17 games last season for the Sea Dogs, Haigwood pitched in the Arizona Fall League for Mesa making seven starts and logging twenty and one thirds innings.
