In games on Sunday, Pawtucket blew a 5-0 lead and ended up losing to Norfolk 7-5. Jon Lester started and went 5 1/3 innings. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits. He walked 3 and struck out 3. Marc Deschenes took the loss allowing 6 runs on 5 hits and 3 walks in 3 innings of work. Jeff Bailey went 3 for 4 with a home run and 3 RBI. David Murphy went 1 for 4 with 2 RBI. Portland got by New Britain 6-4. Kason Gabbard got the win going 6 innings, He allowed 4 runs on 4 hits and a BB. He had 5 Ks. Jon Seales pitched 2 scoreless innings of relief giving up 0 hits and 1 BB. He struck out 2. Randy Beam threw the final inning retiring the three batters he faced striking out 2 of them. Hunter Jones pitched the final 4 innings allowing 1 run on 3 hits. He did not walk a batter and struck out 6. Jay Johnson went 3 for 5 with a home run and 3 runs scored.
