In Monday's games, Portland edged Binghampton 6-5. Keoni De Renne went 2 for 4 with 3 RBI. Chad Spann went 2 for 5 with 2 runs scored. Brandon Moss went 2 for 4 and scored a run. Jose Vaquendo started and picked up the win. He went 6 innings allowing 3 runs on 5 hits. He walked 4 and struck out 3. Edgar Martinez earned the save going 2 scoreless innings while allowing 2 hits and 0 walks. Frederick got by Wilmington 3-2 in 13 innings. Matt Goodson started and went 5 1/3 innings allowing 1 run on 5 hits. He walked 3 and struck out 1. Beau Vaughn took the loss going 1 inning. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits. Jacoby Ellsbury went 1 for 4 with a RBI. Andrew Pinckney went 1 for 5 with a RBI and a run scored. West Virginia edged Greenville 6-5. Yahmed Yema went 3 for 5 and scored a run. Mark Wagner went 2 for 5 with a RBI and a run scored. He is now hitting .354. Mike Bowden started and took the loss. He went 5 innings allowing 5 runs on 7 hits. He gave up 0 BB and had 4 Ks.
