Both Pawtucket and Portland were rained out on Saturday. Wilmington edged Salem 7-6 in 10 innings. Ian Bladergroen went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 RBI. Andrew Pinckney went 4 for 5 with a run scored and 2 RBI. Luis Mendoza started the game and went 4 innings giving up 4 runs on 7 hits. He walked 2 and struck out 3. Randy Newsom picked up the win pitching 1 perfect inning of relief. Geenville got by Hickory 8-7 also in 10 innings. Yahmed Yema went 3 for 5 with a run scored and 2 RBI. Bubba Bell went 3 for 6. Chris Turner and Mark Wagner both were 2 for 4 with a run scored, Kevin Guyette went 4 innings allowing 3 runs on 4 hits. He walked 3 and struck out 5. Hunter Jones went 3 2/3 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 4 hits while walking 3 and striking out 3. Blake Maxwell got the win pitching the last 2 1/3 innings. He gave up 1 run on 2 hits.
