5/10 Cup of Coffee
Rain played havoc with the schedule last night as both Pawtucked and Portland saw their games postponed. Lynchburg defeated Wilmington 11-5. Andrew Pinckney went 3 for 5 with a run scored and a RBI. Mickey Hall went 2 for 5 with a run scored and a RBI. Both hits were triples. Matt Goodson went 5 innings alowing 3 runs on 5 hits while walking 2 and striking out 3. John Barnes went 2 1/3 innings allowing 6 runs on 6 hits. Greenville were beaten by Rome 8-5. Yahmed Yema went 2 for 5 with a run scored. Chris Turner went 2 for 4 with a home run and 3 RBI. Logan Sorenson was 2 for 4. Clay Buchholz went 3 2/3 innings giving up 1 run on 4 hits. He walked 1 and struck out 7. Ismael Casillas took the loss allowing 5 runs on 7 hits in his 3 innings of relief. He walked 1 and struck out 2.Player of The Night: Chris Turner who went 2 for 4 with a home run and 3 RBI
