Mesa yesterday, losing the opener 7-5 and taking the second game 12-6
. David Murphy (.292) went 2 for 3 in the opener. He homered in his first at bat, walked, singled to center and struck out swinging. Brandon Moss (.289) went 0 for 3 grounding out to second and striking out swinging twice. In the second contest, Charlie Zink got the start, going 4 1/3 innings and gaving up 4 earned runs on 6 hits. He struck out 2 and allowed a home run. He was the only Red Sox prospect to play in the second game.
