9/11 Cup of Coffee

Well it looked for so long that Portland was going to wrap up their playoff series with a win in game four but in the blink of an eye things quickly changed with Trenton hitting a 2 out 2 run homer in the eighth to tie the game and then a walk off homer in the bottom of the ninth to win 3-2. Charlie Zink was outstanding, going 6 innings allowing 0 runs on only 1 hit. Edgar Martinez pitched a perfect 7th and retired the first 2 in the eighth before giving up a double. He was replaced by Jimmy Mann who promptly gave up a 2 run homer before getting the 3rd out. He then promptly allowed the leadoff hitter in the bottom of the 9th to homer for the Trenton win. Brandon Moss went 3 for 4 with a run and a RBI. Alberto Concepcion went 2 for 4. Scott Youngbauer went 1 for 3 with a run scored and Hanley Ramirez went 1 for 4 with a RBI. Game five is tomorrow in Portland with Wade Miller scheduled to start for the Sea Dogs.
Player of The Night: Charlie Zink who pitched 6 scoreless innings giving up just 1 hit.
