Cup of Coffee: Silverio records first professional multi-homer game in DSL
8/11 Cup of Coffee: Boston's Dominican Summer League affiliates went 1-1 on Monday. Most notably, top 2026 international signee Garielvin Silverio homered twice in the same game for the first time as a pro.

On an otherwise quiet day for the Blue squad's lineup, Garielvin Silverio stood out by going 2 for 4 with two home runs, four RBI, and two runs scored. Miguel Welch and Eber Miranda each scored a run as well. On the mound, Allan Griman took the loss in his start after allowing five runs (four earned) on two hits, four walks, and no strikeouts over 1 1/3 innings. Maikol Tovar, who started the game at first base, was credited with 1 2/3 scoreless frames of relief.

A four-run seventh inning lifted the Red squad to a comeback victory. Axell Herrera led the way with a double, three RBI, and a stolen base. Jhonny Osta and Wilneyker Bruce each had two hits, with the former driving in one run and scoring another. Geomaikel Martinez and Lester Suarez combined to score four runs and draw five walks. Anderber Urbina scored a run as well. On the flip side, Steven Garcia was tagged for four earned runs on one hit, four walks, and one strikeout over one-plus innings in his start. Ranci Castillo, Yariel Valdez, and Wascar Berroa (who was credited with the win) combined for six scoreless frames of relief the rest of the way.

Player of the Day: Garielvin Silverio gets the nod for recording the first multi-homer game of his young professional career on Monday. The 17-year-old outfielder from the Dominican Republic has come to life at the plate over his last three games, going 6 for 12 (.500) with three home runs and nine RBI. His five home runs and 30 RBI on the season are tied for the second-most among Red Sox Dominican Summer Leaguers. He is currently ranked as the organization's No. 30 prospect after receiving the highest signing bonus ($1.4 million) in Boston's 2026 international free-agent class.
