Join the SoxProspects Team as a Content Editor!
Are you detail-oriented and passionate about the Red Sox minor league system? SoxProspects.com is looking for a Content Editor to join our staff in 2026! This is a great opportunity to contribute to the most comprehensive source for Red Sox prospect news while gaining valuable experience in digital content management. We’re seeking someone who can commit through the end of 2026, with the hope of building a long-term relationship if it’s a great fit. This role generally will require about 1–2 hours per week, and you’ll have flexibility to work on your own schedule.
What You’ll Do
As a Content Editor, you’ll help maintain and improve the quality of our site by:
- Tracking key data, such as scouting reports, transactions, injuries, photo usage, ex-player status, and content errors.
- Potentially making live updates to the site, including entering transactions and statistical data.
- Supporting a variety of projects that keep SoxProspects accurate and up-to-date.
What We’re Looking For
- Familiarity with SoxProspects.com and the Red Sox minor league system.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- A proactive, self-starter attitude—someone who can work independently with minimal oversight.
- Basic understanding of baseball statistics.
- Experience editing web content (HTML or similar) is a plus, but not required. If you don’t have experience, we’re looking for someone tech-savvy and eager to learn.
Why Join Us?
This is a volunteer position, but it’s an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in content management and digital publishing. Our team holds itself to a high standard, and many former staff members have gone on to work for ESPN.com, Baseball America, Baseball Prospectus, the Boston Globe, the Baltimore Sun, MLB.com, and more!
