Pitcher of the Week, May 12-18: Daniel Bard
RHP Daniel Bard bade farewell to Greenville with a pair of characteristically dominant performances, pitching three perfect innings and striking out four, and picked right up where he left off two levels higher in his Portland debut, throwing a scoreless frame (three strikeouts), and earning his third SoxProspects.com Pitcher of the Week nod for May 12-18. Bard booked a 1-0 record with an 0.64 ERA in 15 appearances with Greenville, allowing two earned runs on 12 hits (.129 BAA), striking out 43 and walking four. Bard was previously voted Pitcher of the Week for April 3-6 and 21-27, and Pitcher of the Month for April. Honorable Mention: Bryce Cox--three games, 8.0 IP one unearned run and one hit, and striking out seven.
