Cup of Coffee: Roman Anthony walks four times in win

9/21 Cup of Coffee:
The Red Sox were able to get their first win on Friday after being eliminated from playoff contention.

-----

Worcester got a run in the top of the first and got two more in the fourth as the pitching staff shut down the Lehigh Valley offense. Alex Binelas had three hits, including a two-run home run in the fourth, and delivered a trio of RBI, while Roman Anthony was issued four free passes. The run went on Justin Hagenman's tab, who pitched the first four innings. He allowed five hits and walked another while striking out a trio of IronPigs. Brian Van Belle followed with three innings of one-hit relief and earned the victory for his efforts. He issued two free passes and also had three punchouts. Zack Kelly had a clean eighth with a pair of strikeouts, while Jose Adames punched out the side while working around a single in the ninth.

Player of the Day: Promoted earlier in the week, Alex Binelas has had a torrid start to his Triple-A career, going 3 for 5 with a home run and three RBI in his first game one step away from the major leagues. The Louisville product showed off his raw power and will need to keep showing he can make consistent contact to get the call to the show.
