Bradley placed on DL with biceps tendinitis
The Red Sox have announced that Pawtucket outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. has been placed on the 7-day disabled list with tendinitis of the biceps in his right (throwing) arm. The move is retroactive to May 4.
Bradley has been battling soreness in his arm for over a week. He last played the outfield in Pawtucket's April 27 game against Columbus. Since then, Bradley has seen three appearances as designated hitter, last playing on May 3 when he went 1 for 3. The number two prospect on SoxProspects.com, Bradley has a .302/.400/.349 line in 11 games with the PawSox since being optioned from Boston on April 19.
In a pair of counter-moves, Ronald Bermudez was promoted to Pawtucket from Portland, and Peter Hissey has been activated from the disabled list by the Sea Dogs.
