Best Players Available: Day Three

With the first 15 rounds of the 2012 MLB Draft in the books, Day Three is set to close out the action beginning at noon today. This year the draft has been shortened from 50 to 40 rounds, so 16-40 are on the docket. There is some particularly strong talent left on the board, as teams have been more hesitant to take high schoolers wanting big bonuses to forego college than in the past. Here's a quick rundown of players who were ranked in Baseball America's Top 150, but remain on the board.

Freddy Avis (BA No. 56) RHP/Menlo School, Atherton, Calif. (HS)
C.J. Hinojosa (BA No. 70) SS/Klein-Collins HS, Spring, Texas (HS)
James Kaprielian (BA No. 73) RHP/Beckman HS, Irvine, Calif. (HS)
Mitchell Traver (BA No. 110) RHP/Houston Christian HS, Texas (HS)
Alex Bregman (BA No. 121) 2B/Albuquerque Academy, N.M. (HS)
Alex Young (BA No. 126) LHP/Carmel Catholic HS, Mundelein, Ill. (HS)
Felipe Perez (BA No. 129) RHP/Fairmont Prep, Anaheim, Calif. (HS)
Justin Garza (BA No. 130) RHP/Bonita HS, La Verne, Calif. (HS)
Rhett Wiseman (BA No. 136) OF/Buckingham Browne & Nichols HS, Cambridge, Mass. (HS)
Dansby Swanson (BA No. 138) SS/Marietta, Ga. (HS)
