Here are how Red Sox prospects fared over the past week in the Caribbean:


Venezuelan Professional Baseball League

Ryan Lavarnway (Bravos de Margarita): Was 1 for 2 with 2 walks in yesterday's contest against La Guaira.

Ronald Bermudez (Leones del Caracas): Went 1 for 6 with a double and two strikeouts in his two appearances this week.

Oscar Perez (Tiburones de La Guaira): Did not make an appearance this week.


Mexican Pacific League

Jesus Loya (Naranjeros de Hermosillo): Went hitless in 6 at-bats over two games.


Dominican Winter League

Stolmy Pimentel (Estrellas de Oriente): Made a relief appearance on October 21, tossing 1.2 innings against Licey, allowing 1 run on 2 hits, walking 1 and striking out 1.

Cesar Cabral (Aguilas Cibaenas): Appeared twice out of the bullpen, hurling 1.2 perfect innings, striking out 1.


Player of the Week: Cesar Cabral, who tossed 1.2 inning of flawless relief this week in two appearances out of the bullpen for Aguilas.


EDIT: Oscar Tejeda (Gigantes del Cibao): Played in three games, going 1 for 8 with a double, walk and 2 strikeouts.
