Vitek promoted to Greenville
The Lowell Spinners have announced that 2010 first round draft pick Kolbrin Vitek has been promoted to Low-A Greenville.
The third baseman out of Ball State played 56 games with the Spinners, posting a line of .270/.360/.422 with 4 home runs and 30 RBI. In his last 10 games, Vitek has hit .405 with 11 RBI and an OPS of 1.191. He'll get his first taste of a pennant race down in Greenville, where the Drive find themselves 2.0 games behind the first-place Asheville Tourists.
