Pitcher of the Week, June 22-28: Casey Kelly
Salem righty Casey Kelly only made one start last week, but he made it count, hurling seven innings of one hit, shutout ball at Kinston (Indians) June 27, striking out 4 and walking none, en route to winning SoxProspects.com Pitcher of the Week honors for June 22-28. This is Kelly's third Pitcher of the Week win in 2009, with all of them coming in the month of June.
