Dening to play for Australia in World Baseball Classic
SoxProspects.com has learned that outfielder Mitch Dening will be playing for team Australia in the World Baseball Classic this March. Dening plied his trade last season for the Lowell Spinners, batting .321/.375/.471 with 3 home runs and 20 RBI in 240 at bats. The 20-year-old lefthanded hitter was originally signed by the Red Sox as an international free agent in 2005, making his U.S. debut in 2007 for the GCL Red Sox.
