Greenville LHP Felix Doubront hurled six shutout innings of two hit ball at Rome (Braves) July 31, allowing only two hits (.100 BAA) while striking out eight and walking none en route to his 12th win of the season and SoxProspects.com Pitcher of the Week honors for July 28-August 3. Doubront, 20, signed as a free agent out of Venezuela in 2004 is 12-7 with a 3.72 ERA in 21 starts, allowing 44 earned runs on 102 hits (.262 BAA) in 106.1 innings pitched, striking out 109 and walking 18. He is currently the 27th ranked prospect in the organization by SoxProspects.com.
