Farkes homers twice in Jethawk win


7/25 Cup of Coffee: Pawtucket downed Columbus 11-6. Charlie Zink (12-3) threw 6 innings giving up 5 runs on 8 hits. He had 5 Ks. Jon Switzer pitched 2 innings allowing 1 run on 3 hits. Eric Hull pitched a scoreless 9th allowing 1 hit. He had 1 K. Chris Carter went 3 for 4 with a run scored and a RBI. Dusty Brown went 2 for 4 with a home run and 3 runs scored. Gil Velaquez went 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Chad Spann went 2 for 5 with a home run and 4 RBI.

Portland saw both the resumption of the suspended game from the night before against Connecticut and the regularly scheduled game washed out last night.

Lancaster edged Lake Elsinore 5-4 in 11 innings. Tony Bajoczky threw 7 innings giving up 3 runs on 6 hits. He had 3 Ks. Bryce Cox went 2 innings giving up 1 run on 2 hits and a BB. He had 1 K.
