Carter up from Paw Sox
Pawtucket OF/DH Chris Carter who has been posting a .310/.366/.526 (.841 OPS) line (10 HR, 35 RBI) in 213 ABs has been called up to help fill the gap at DH while David Ortiz is on the disabled list. There is no word as yet on a corresponding move as both Carter and this evening's starter RHP Justin Masterson are both being promoted from Pawtucket.
