LHP Jon Lester no-hit the Kansas City Royals tonight, allowing only two walks on 130 pitches (86 strikes) as the Red Sox cruised to a 7-0 victory. Billy Butler walked in the second inning and Esteban German walked to lead off the ninth. Rather than tiring, Lester, who struck out nine, continued to throw in the mid-90s through the ninth inning of what is also his first career complete game. With the victory Lester, 24, improved to 3-2 and lowered his ERA to 3.41.
