Bell reaches base 6 times in Lancaster win
5/23 Cup of Coffee: Pawtucket defeated Ottawa 7-3. Abe Alvarez (3-3) went 6 innings to pick up the win. He gave up 3 runs on 8 hits and a BB. He had 7 Ks. Edgar Martinez threw a perfect inning of relief. Travis Hughes went 2 scoreless innings giving up 2 hits and a BB. He had 1 K. Jacoby Ellsbury went 3 for 4 and scored twice. Bobby Scales went 4 for 5 with 2 runs scored and 3 RBI. David Murphy went 2 for 5. Brandon Moss went 2 for 5 with a home run and 2 RBI.
Trenton got past Portland 3-1. Daniel Haigwood (0-2) started and took the loss. He went 5 innings giving up 1 run on 4 hits and 2 BB. He had 8 Ks.
