Red Sox set minor league rosters

The Red Sox set their minor league rosters over the last few days, and the affiliates have accordingly announced what players fans can expect to be wearing their uniforms when the minor league season starts on Thursday. To see where your all of the top prospects were assigned, check out the Team Rosters. No real surprises here after last weeks' cuts. The PawSox and Sea Dogs rosters are filled with a mix of top level prospects and veteran minor leaguers, a number of which should contribute to the big cub in 2007. The newly affiliated Lancaster JetHawks starting rotation of Daniel Bard, Michael Bowden, Kris Johnson, Jutin Masterson, and Mike Rozier is loaded with talent and potential. In Greenville, Lars Anderson, Reid Engel, and Jorge Rodriguez pushed Mike Jones, Ryan Kalish, and Jose Capellan out of starting jobs. A number of prospects will also start the year in Extended Spring Training or on the disabled list, including Felix Doubront, Ian Bladergroen, and Ryan Phillips. Check out the Injury Report for more details.
