There was a full slate of games last night. Pawtucket took both games of a doubleheaded defeating Scranton/ WB 3-2 and 4-0. In the first game, David Riske went 1 1/3 innings giving up 2 runs on 3 hits. He gave up 0 BB and struck out 2. Jimmy Serrano got the win going 4 2/3 innings allowing 0 runs on 4 hits. He gave up 0 BB and recorded 4 Ks. Hee-Seop Choi went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI. In the second contest, Craig Hansen started and went 4 innings. He allowed 0 runs on 5 hits. He did not walk a batter and struck out 4. Craig Breslow pitched 2 innings of scoreless relief allowing 1 hit. He struck out 2 and gave up 0 BB. Trent Durrington went 2 for 2. Dustin Pedroia went 1 for 3 and scored a run. Hee-Seop Choi went 1 for 3 with a RBI. Trenton blasted Portland 8-0. Jeremy West went 1 for 3. Phil Seibel took the loss going 5 innings allowing 3 runs on 6 hits. He did not allow a walk and struck out 4. Lynchburg edged Wilmington 4-3. Bryan Pritz went 2 for 4 with a run scored and 2 RBI. Mickey Hall went 2 for 4 with a run scored. Tommy Hottovy took the loss going 6 2/3 innings allowing 4 runs on 7 hits. He walked 3 and struck out 3. Lexington got by Greenville 6-4. Yahmed Yema went 2 for 4 with a home run and 4 RBI. Clay Buchholz went 4 2/3 innings giving up 3 runs on 6 hits. He walked 2 and struck out 2. Tim Cox was tagged with the loss. He went 3 1/3 innings allowing 3 runs on 5 hits. He did not walk a batter while striking out 1.
