Tuesday saw a full slate of games down on the farm. Pawtucket shut out Rochester 2-0 behind the pitching of Abe Alvarez. He went 7 innings and allowed just 2 hits while giving up 2 walks. Ron Calloway was 1 for 2 with 2 walks. He also scored a run. Portland got by New Britain by the score of 7-3.Devern Hansack started for the SeaDogs and went 4 innings giving up 3 runs on 5 hits. He struck out 4. Craig Hansen picked up the win going 2 innings allowing no runs on 2 hits. He walked 3 and struck out 1. Chris Durbin led the attack going 4 for 5 with 2 RBI. Kinston edged Wilmington 4-3. Luis Mendoza took the loss going 3 1/3 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits while recording 5 Ks. Claudio Arias went 2 for 4 with a home run. Iggy Suarez was 2 for 3 and Jeff Corsaletti was 2 for 5. Greenville lost 6-4 to Augusta. Hunter Jones threw 4 innings giving up 1 run on 4 hits. He gave up 2 walks and struck out 2. Kevin Guyette took the loss giving up 3 runs in 2 innings of work on 5 hits. He struck out 3 and walked 2. Yahmed Yema was 2 for 4. Jeff Natale went 2 for 5. Player of The Night: Abe Alvarez, who threw 7 innings of 2 hit shutout ball.
