13 former Red Sox draftees selected in 2019 Draft


In the 2019 MLB Draft, 13 former Red Sox draft picks were chosen by teams, up from the eight selections in 2018. 2018 draftee Davis Wendzel was the first off of the board, as the Texas Rangers snagged him in the Competitive Balance round with the 41st pick of the draft. 2016's 11th-rounder, Nick Quintana, followed Wendzel off the board just six picks later, as the Detroit Tigers used their second-round selection on the Arizona third baseman.
