Salt River topples Scottsdale for second straight day

10/14 Cup of Coffee: The Salt River Rafters continued to give the Scorpions fits, topping them for a second day in a row.

Looking to exact revenge for their loss a day prior, the Scottsdale Scorpions fell once again to the Salt River Rafters, 3-1.

The Scorpions pushed across their lone run of the contest in the fourth as Jean Segura (LAA) came home on a double play ball. Scottsdale was a woeful 0 for 6 with runners in scoring position as they struggled to come up with a big hit.

Alex Hassan started in right field and went 1 for 3 with a single. Will Middlebrooks started once again at third base and was 1 for 3 with a single and three strikeouts.

The Scorpions look to get back into the win column this evening as they square off against the Peoria Javelinas at 8:35 EST.
