Red Sox acquire reliever Morales from Rockies, designate Okajima

According to Peter Abraham of the Boston Globe, the Red Sox have acquired left-handed reliever Franklin Morales from the Colorado Rockies for a player to be named later. As a counter move, the team has also designated reliever Hideki Okajima for assignment.

The 25-year-old Morales first cracked the majors in 2007 with Colorado, posting a 3.43 ERA over 8 starts, while appearing in the MLB Futures Game during the All Star break.
