Depth at shortstop
In the latest installment of my series highlighting the organizational depth at each position in the Red Sox system, let's take a look at shortstop, which is a position in flux given the pending expiration of Marco Scutaro’s contract following the 2011 season and the apparent re-emergence of Jed Lowrie as a viable everyday player. And given that top shortstop prospect Jose Iglesias made his major league debut on Sunday, here's a quick rundown of the top six shortstop prospects in Boston’s system.
