Albers to disabled list, Aceves called up to Boston
Peter Abraham of the Boston Globe is reporting that the Red Sox will complete their first roster move of the 2011 season, placing reliever Matt Albers on the 15-day disabled list and recalling right-hander Alfredo Aceves.
Albers has made two appearances for Boston this season, throwing 2.0 scoreless innings. Aceves was due to start tonight's season opener for Triple-A Pawtucket before being a late scratch. In 13.1 innings this spring, Aceves compiled a 4.05 ERA. He will take the place of Albers in the Boston bullpen.
