Retraction: Kendrick Perkins not signed
Yesterday we reported that "sixth-round pick Kendrick Perkins will forego his commitment to Texas A&M to sign with the Red Sox in the next few days ..."
We must now retract this report. Red Sox officials indicate that Perkins has not signed at this time, and that negotiations have not begun. Our apologies for the confusion.
