Francona sets pitching for the weekend

According to Peter Abraham of Boston.com, the Red Sox have set their pitching rotation for the games through this weekend. Most notably, SoxProspects.com #1 prospect Casey Kelly will get the start at 1:00 p.m. today against Northeastern, with Felix Doubront scheduled to come out of the bullpen. Michael Bowden will also come out of the bullpen in the second game of today's doubleheader against Boston College. Doubront is scheduled to start in a split-squad game against Tampa Bay on Saturday.

Other minor leaguers scheduled to make appearances this weekend are:

Today vs. Northeastern- Adam Mills, Dustin Richardson, Ramon A. Ramirez, Robert Manuel

Today vs. BC- Junichi Tazawa, Kyle Weiland, Kris Johnson, Fabio Castro, Randor Bierd.

Thursday vs. Minnesota- Brian Shouse, Scott Atchison

Friday vs. Minnesota- Fernando Cabrera, Dustin Richardson, Ramon A. Ramirez, Robert Manuel, Randor Bierd

Saturday vs. Minnesota- Brian Shouse, Joe Nelson, Junichi Tazawa

Saturday vs. Tampa Bay- Adam Mills, Kyle Weiland, Fabio Castro

Sunday vs. Baltimore- Scott Atchison, Casey Kelly, Robert Manuel


Today's game against Boston College will be televised on NESN at 6:00 p.m., as will Sunday's 1:00 p.m. contest against the Orioles. WEEI 850 will carry Thursday's 7:00 p.m. game and Saturday's 1:00 p.m. game. Both of those games are against Minnesota.
